I just wanted to capitalize on a statement that Chad made and at the same time offer hope to those who do not consider 20th century works art. Chad stated that "maybe as years go on people will begin to appreciate what art was back during the renaissance."

If one thinks about it, art has already seen a dark age during the Middle Ages, when art became more symbolic than realistic. And that is really the modern artist's reasoning behind his compositions--to depict something abstract like a feeling, emotion, or thought. Basically 20th Century art takes the art of symbolism to a further level then Medieval art did. Thus, as the Renaissance came about to straighten out the Medieval mess, hopefully there will be a Neo-Renaissance to get modern art back to more realistic.
