Kids recruited have , for the main part been undersized, unexceptional flankers or mid types
Bianco, the Browns, Atu , Stevo, Ruscoe, Poulter, the duo from SA Draper and his pal ….plus one skinny forward in Liam McMahon
All gone and on the face of it Carmichael is out of favour, unfortunately Fred is utterly fragile and injury prone , poor old Murphy is under a cloud
Toss in …is Reef up to scratch ? Will Begg ever really demand a spot? Did Oleg get swept along in the club wide surge to succeed and is he now receding to mundanity ? Was naming Richards ( 9 goals in two games) token encouragement because the powers that be think he is too small? And Allen …brilliant pedigree but is he actually putting his hand up in the VFL ? While Ryan …played in defence really seems more like a lean winger who is currently injured …so what are his prospects ? Some posters here are questioning Bytel too !
Then there is the ultra multi talented but inconsistently motivated Ash
Hence the question marks are there
So who might come up and where and when ?
Nothing ( apart from Richards ) amongst that lot is bellowing “ pick me..my efforts demand that you do”
I might be off.target but it seems to me that the next cabs in order will be

Listed long enough and getting regular mentions in best players …replacements for long term MF servants come from outside or inside . We need to expose this kid

The Pin ball machine that is our target-less forward line needs urgent attention .
Who can take a mark and kick straight and present …and create spillage opportunities.?
Who effing knows
Yet we need to not continue to sit squat and do nothing . Ash has apparently dropped his bundle . Reef isn’t a key forward , he is a flanker who trails in preseason distance runs . Tank…what tank? He is a speedy burst player who might succeed in space ..so try it

There is longer term hope for Steene , Eyre , Harry Di ( injured ) and the very smooth moving JT and then there is Dangerous Dan McStay .

But overall if the club is going to evolve via younger or mature age listed players these players must be intelligently and systematically exposed or the “ gotten everything largely right “ statement will become a dubious one
