I could keep going, but it's a long story.

the upshot is that we have won as many permierships as any club in the history of the game, and appeared in more grand finals than any team, and I would hazard a guess that we have appeared in more finals series than any side in the history of the game.

We are a massive, popular, historic, cornerstone club.

We have proven, again and again, that we can be a finals competative club most years.

The "bottom out" narrative is a narrative used by small clubs that generally suck and threfore spend long periods of time outside the finals, throwing hail mary passes at high draft picks and hoping for miricles.

We are a well run club that should be competative most years, and should ABSOLUTELY be aiming to build a flag contending side NOW with the roughly 5 million dollar war chest our 30 year old retireees are going to unlock for us.
