Swanny's first big year was as a 22yo.

Freddie turns 25yo next week and is in his 6th year on an AFL list.

I acknowledge that Freddie has been extremely susceptible to injuries but, for every "slow burner" an/or chronically injured who comes good and repays the investment there are a helluva lot more Broomheads, Kinnears, Freemans etc who don't.

Were there no tight limits on list sizes and TPP, more patience could be afforded to more players.

(I largely agree with the rest of your post; it's just that you keep talking about Freddie as if he's still a kid
