We'd never miss finals again.

He came to us in 2003 - Not sure if it was the start or end of the year. But I'll consider 2004 his first proper year.

Grand finals in:

2004 - Runner Up (We probably can't give him full credit for that one, in his first year).

2010 - Win

2011 - Runner Up

2018 - Runner Up

2023 - Win

Plenty of prelims and other finals along the way too.

For someone so cod awful at recruiting. He must have incredible amounts of luck on his side that the rest of the club is so good at their jobs that they get more out of these players than deemed possible by the posters on EB&W.

I'm not saying he's perfect or that he hasn't made mistakes. I suspect every recruiter in the business can put their hand up to getting many wrong over the years. But surely the results speak for themselves? We've rarely missed finals in the last 20 years and average a grand final appearance every 4 years. He's clearly not *that* bad.

Is there someone better on the market? Maybe... That's always worth exploring.
