But I did point out in another thread the names that were traded to Geelong from other AFL clubs and a significant number of them were from that region - so it has a definite "go home" factor.

And that's not difficult to understand...many kids are more than happy to move away and enjoy an "untethered" life away from where they grew up.

But many others always like to come back to where their lives, families and friends were (and likely, still are).

And most of the guys Geelong recruited were originally from there - product of the Geelong Falcons or St Josephs College or similar.
