Subject: Re: HAHAHAHA! No one is "riding her coattails!" Nia competed in NC twice, did very well. She, like Allison Farris, felt she'd have a better chance of winning a state crown anywhere but NC. And it was proven as both women who did very well in NC won state crowns as soon as they set foot elsewhere. And both did well at Miss America, clearly (NIA!). So being a fan from her days in NC doesn't mean anyone is jumping on her bandwagon. And she's back in NC now, last I heard. So cool it!

Because in NC you are competing with 40 girls that 20 of them could legitimately win Miss NC and represent the title well for the year. They may not be Miss America, but they have all that's needed to do the job of a state titleholder. NC has a long history of sending young women out into the US to attend school where they win smaller state titles in America and USA elsewhere. What we have lacked is the ability to capture girls from out-of-state that competed in Outstanding Teen or Teen USA and are now attending one of our universities and get them to compete here.
