Moina continued to sniff the wind blowing in their faces, positive that she was getting a very, very fresh trail. The excitement of perhaps coming across another of their kind quickened her pace, breaking from her job into a lope. Unless he wanted to be left behind, Gavin was forced to do the very same. He growled at her, ears pinned breifly against his skull. "Do we have to run? We were making good ground before." His longer legs carried him quickly past his sister, forcing her to pick up her speed yet another notch. In response to his surly grumble, she only laughed.
That laugh died when they both quite suddenly came upon the haunches of Kosses, though they didn't know she was the queen of these lands. Gavin gathered himself beautifully, and dodged to the side, halting when he was a good 5 or 6 feet away. HIs tongue dropped from his open maw, his breathing slightly accelerated. there was nothing aggressive or domineering in his stance, he kept his head down, his tail down, hackles down... not exactly playing submissive, but staying neutral.
Moina however, was not nearly as graceful as her brother. She was following her nose entirely too much, and not also relying on eyesite and hearing. So quite suddenly, they rounded a bush, and Gavin was dodging to the side, to avoid colliding with the earthy tones of the wolf suddenly there... but poor Moina... She crashed head long into Kosses's flank, yelping in surprise as she went head over paws. The outcome? To land, non-too-gracefully in a heap of fur, dirt, grass, leaves, and confused wolf at Kosses's paws. She blinked a few times, and stared up at the fem, partially on her back, her belly exposed... "uhhh..." She blinked, nerves stealing her tongue for the moment |
