Yesterday was a total success. I didn't eat anything after I had lunch. I thought about having a small salad for dinner but talked myself out of it. I'm so glad I did. Each time I make a salad, it opens the door to another binge session. Had a really good workout at the gym and I finished it up at home.

I'm doing it again today. It feels so good to be back....

Hi,
I a m so glad that we finally have another site to go, my week has been ok as i have been eating only what i had to and then riding 16 ks every morning. i also swim once a week and play netball once a week. except then i gave in and binged and than purged. how can i overcome this weakness? thanks, stay anorexic, stay strong. love meej.

Today I am staying focused. I am not bingeing today. My goal was to lose 30lbs by mid December. Since I have made little progress in the last month, this doesn't seem realistic. I will try. I lose my willpower after 5pm when I get home from work. No more. Today will be different. I began my morning walking my dogs for an hour; I will go to the gym during my lunch hour; and I will exercise at home after work. No more lame excuses.

It's always helpful to read others' comments/concerns about ana because I sometimes lose hope and sight of my goals. I screw up by binging every weekend (at least it seems that I do)and keeping my mind busy with thinspiration and support definitely forces me to ask myself "How badly do you want to be thin?" and of course, I get some sense knocked into me. thanks for providing this message board-I will contine to read new posts and work along to acheive perfection. Keep up the good work! =)

thanks Ana!! I've never heard some of those tips. I;m DEFINITELY going to buy some orajel!!!

Also, i got a teeth whitening system from my dentist. it was $300 but worth it. I don't even have yellow teeth! I just want movie-star white teeth and i've found that i can wear it any time i'm tempted to eat!! I just wear it in the day instead!

Tips & Tricks

- keep a food journal
- no eating after 6-6:30 PM
- drink V-8 (70-78 calories)
- during the day, instead of having a snack, eat sugarless gum
- chitosol - i have yet to find out what that is
- To Puke
- drink vinegar
- use a spare toothbrush , stick up towards your nasal cavity
- use a spare toothbrush as fingers, stick it down your throat
- if the toothbrush has a grip, when you pull it out it should puke
- when attempting to puke, it may take several tries
- when you try to puke you have to think hard about puking, it’ll come up easier
Reasons Not To Puke
- it ruins your health
- ruins teeth, throat
- makes you tired
- your eyes get puffy and teary
- diuretics, i have yet to find out what that is
- everyday cut out two things out of your diet
- EXERCISE
- crunches, lunges, squats
- mini thins - in the blue package
- run 4-5 times a week
- eat food with little or no calories
- drink water, water, water (thats all i drink)
- once in awhile drink orange juice, and milk
- eat negative calorie foods (celery, apples, carrots)
* negative calorie foods are foods that when you chew them, you’ve already
burned off the calories
- flavored water (0 cals)
- eat 1 cup of rice for a snack
- I Can’t Believe It’s Butter spray (works just like butter, yet hardly no calories!)
- non fat yogurt
- rice cakes (the amount of calories depend on the flavor)
- to lose weight you have to try to avoid having snacks whenever you please, learn to
limit yourself
- ONCE a week, particularly at the end of the week, if you’ve had a good week ,and you
feel you deserve it, treat yourself to something (not food!) like getting a manicure, or
pedicure or something

-If you're even thinking of eating bad, hold your breath and count to 100. You'll convince yourself not to eat whatever it is you're craving at the time.

-meditate on yourself being thin. Tell yourself you are thin and meditate on you going about your every day life at you're ideal weight.

-When you feel hungry, rinse your mouth out with minty mouthwash. You won't want to eat with minty breath. I always carry one of those travel size bottles around with me.

-Plan your day ahead of time:what you're going to eat, what you ate and when and how much you excercize. This helps you not get into the "What Now!" mode.

-Put orajel in your mouth.

-"The chief failure of unhappiness is trading what we want most for what we want at the moment"!

-"Cravings only last a few minutes. Thin is worth a few minutes."

-Don't do anything today that you'll regret tomorrow.

-THINK-What would a supermodel do?!

-"Every time I have the opportunity to eat, I will have the strength to refuse.

-"Who looks at a fat girl and says,"WOW, I want to look like her"!

hi everyone! I had the shittiest weekend but this new week has been so great so far. I've been getting lots of exercise and just taking my sleeping pill early so i go to bed without wanting anything to eat.

here's a good tip: even though you have more energy to exercise if you eat carbs first, you will burn off more fat if you don't eat before exercising. When i come home and am either about to go to the gym or run on my home treadmill, i just eat a salad with redwine vinegar and a little parmesan and then about 2 saltines. THat takes away any hunger pangs. Then i might have a little tea with caffeine, then i can exercise a long time. That way you start burning the fat right away, as opposed to bruning off the sugars/carbs before getting to the fat (if you've just had a bunch of carbs).

Citrucil orange is a good fiber/lax type drink. The orange sugar free has almost no cals. it's kindof thick like jello, but not chalky at all. So it fills you up AND gives you fiber without being as strong as laxatives.

I hear ya, Ell. I'm feeling the same way. The sites help. THis is what I do to get back on track. Eat as little as poss. for a couple days to shrink your stomach again. Try eating pickles when you've got to crunch something. But buy the good kind, not the cheaper generic ones- not as good. Exercise to sweat out the salt.

Also, sugar free hot cocoa packets are great because the hot water fills you up, it tastes great when u want something sweet.

So there you have salty/vinegar and sweet cravings. Hope it helps.
