Subject: Tufts Jumbos Helmet History 1960-2002

Recent mention of the Tufts Jumbos had me wondering...

1999-2002: White with a brown and white elephant head. Brown-white-light blue-white-brown stripes and gray FM.
1994-1998: White with a Brown and white elephant head inside brown and white circle. Brown-white-light blue-white-brown stripes and gray FM.
(This logo is different than 1999-2002 logo and more similar or the same as the 1978-1982 version)

1986-1993: White with a Brown "Tennessee" "T" outlined in light blue and gray FM.
1985: White with a small Brown "T" and gray FM. (this "T" is smaller then the later and not sure if it has light blue outline)
1983-1984: White with a wrap around elephant head logo with trailing stripes and gray FM.

1978-1982: White with brown-light blue-brown stripes. Brown and white elephant head inside brown and white circle and gray FM.
(sometimes their is seperation between the stripes so it would go brown-white-light blue-white brown)
1976-1977: Brown with white-light blue-white stripes and white interlocking "T" and "U" and gray FM.
1972-1975: White with brown "Tennessee" "T" and brown stripe and gray FM.
1970-1971: White with brown "Tennessee" "T" and gray FM.

1969: White with brown oval with white "100" inside of oval and gray FM.
1967-1968: White with white and gray FMs.
1966: White with brown stripe and gray FM.
1964-1965: White with brown stripe and small brown and white elephant head logo and gray FM.
1962-1963: White with brown stripe and probably either brown of black larger numbers (with serifs) and white and gray FMs.
1960-1961: White with a brown stripe and small block numbers probably either brown of black and white FM.

I think that is pretty accurate. At least a good idea of what was worn at the time.
