Really quite a bummer what happened to my Heels. First we lost Leslie McDonald (a JR shooting guard) to an injury over the summer. Then Dexter Strickland went down. Then Kendall Marshall....our top three rotation guards from the year before - all out. Heck, Henson even needed a shot for his wrist prior to the game and then injured his ankle in the first half.

Dexter had been our back-up PG and had really developed in that role - as a change of pace blur type of guy.

We offered a scholarship to Stilman White after Larry Drew bolted. He played this year and will take the next two years off for his Mormon mission.

This was our window year. The expectation is that Marshall, Barnes and Henson will join Zeller in the NBA. I really thought that UK and UNC were on a collision course for April 2nd. Oh well. We caught some breaks during our last two title runs and Lady Luck only smiles so many times in a row.

PS: I'll be in the Big Easy this weekend. Will cheer on your Cats.
