very, very cool. A lot of gesneriads grow from rhizomes and look really cool with part of the rhizome showing (some prefer to grow that way with a nasty risk of rot if it's totally covered with soil). It's interesting to see the difference in appearance of those structures. Some are rather scaly, some are smooth, some look like they have bark...
There is an art to houseplanting! And this is part of it. :)

sounds nice patty,i`d like to see.
perL,the other side has the beginings of bark like appearence,but it wouldnt show up on my pics.
i would not have thought of exposeing the roots on something like that.can you tell i dont grow them?
speaking of bonsai-ish,stay tune,theres more tommarrow.
