Welcome for new batch of PSNI recruits

Belfast telegraph

Publication Date: 11 May 2002

MEMBERS of the Policing Board have welcomed the second batch of police trainees into the PSNI at their graduation ceremony at Garnerville.

Denis Bradley, vice-chairman of the Policing Board, said the new recruits "represented a new beginning for policing".

He said: "Today might not be so historic as the first graduation but all these new officers are equally important as they take their place.

"It is a very special day for each of the new police trainees and their families, for today officially marks the beginning of their new policing careers.

"We are committed to ensuring that we have real community policing for the whole community."
