Subject: Beautiful Posts Guys (Darla Thoughts in General)

I really loved what you guys had to say below about Darla in "Lullaby" and Bullocks you are absolutely right. I really didn't notice the impact of those last scenes until you mentioned that D/A have gotten what no other ship has and that's respect and a *baby.*

I'm still really sad though for a number of reasons. I agree that Darla went out the best way any fan could ask for ... but I still feel like I'm longing for something.

I think one of the reasons why I'm taking this kind of hard is the fact I wasn't expecting her to die. At all. So when I read the wildfeed I was devastated.

Also every flashback involving Angelus and Darla in the Holtz plot has given me the impression that Holtz wanted to kill Darla moreso than Angelus. I guess I was expecting some sort of a future confrontation between Darla and Holtz because of this development.

Also even though I adore bad boy Spike and Drusilla, neither one of them has been staked or killed, just Darla. Darla has died a million times over and now she had to die again? If so, what was the point in ever bringing her back to life?

And last but not least, I really don't have a female character on ANGEL to root for anymore. I can't stand *Miss Perfect with everyone worshiping the ground she walks on* Cordelia. That *cow* has been wrong so many times and has NEVER had to suffer for anything unless she needs a sympathy card from her pathetic vision plotlines.

Fred is sweet, but then again worships Cordelia.

Every single character that had a *quality* or an interesting personality like Faith, Kate, and Darla are always gotten rid of for some reason outside or in.

I'm always stuck with the same boring female characters.

*sigh*

I guess when it comes down to it, I just wish that if Darla had to die that it'd happen later in the season at the conclusion of the Holtz arc. I don't know. I just really wasn't expecting her to die. She brought an element to the show that's been missing since Faith left, and her *unpresence* will leave a gaping(sp?) hole in the show for me.

There's someone that wrote Tim Minear about any future Darla. He basically said that they won't be bringing her back to life. So I guess we can expect flashbacks from here on out.
