She remained calm and cool throughout her responses, but was rather impressed by her student's interest in the details...

"The guards are visibly wearing a sword and a knife or two each, and all have bows slung over their backs in easy reach. They are travelling at a walk, the guards are heavily armored whereas the man they guard--your target--is wearing ill-fitting leather armor. They are several miles from the nearest settlement in any direction, and there are no others on the path within range of sight or sound. The guards are not as alert as they should be, but would certainly be quick to respond to any threat. The weakness of your victim--a wealthy merchant, dealing in slave-manufactured fabrics, and is travelling back home from his meetings with a slave trader to select more workers--is that he is lazy and careless, maltreats his employees, and is not cautious enough to learn how to defend himself or even to wear properly fitting armor.

"As for how long you've been there and the weapons you have with you, you tell me. What would you have done in preparation for their arrival, should you have been informed by your client that they would be passing this way on this particular day? Which weapons would you have brought? How will you deal with him?"
