The elf listened to the master quietly while she watched him. His grey eyes watching her, waiting for a slight sign that would signal the beginning of an attack, a tensed muscle, the change in stance or breathing, he looked for them.

When she moved, he hesitated only for a moment to accertain the attack before he made his own move. His eyes took in which hand she was using and moved away from it, should she be using her right, he moved left; her left, he moved right, away from the attacks.

He made a mental note on if she was a right hander or a left hander, or rather, which hand she favoured, which leg she used, if her coordination was perfect, looking for loopholes.

He would stand a slight distance away from her, taking note of his surroundings in one swift glance. He had moved closer to the weapon rack.

He stood in the same easy stance as before watching the master quietly, eyes taunting her to make another move. At the current moment, he showed no physical skill that he had save for his ability to dodge.

He was waiting quietly, testing the master as she was testing him. He made no move to attack, none at all, conserving energy and patiently waiting.

Yes this was a game he thought, enjoying it. He loved games indeed. A game to test me, or a game of life and death if I'm not careful and the master is ruthless

In his mind, he remembered briefly about the time he was bitten by a snake, yes he must be like it, hiding quietly then striking swift and fast.

He watched, taking only slight, near invisible steps backwards, closer to the weapons rack. It would seem like he didnt move.

(kkk)
