"God" is a term that's common to many religions; just because you worship "god" doesn't mean we're talking about the same God.

Only humans have this idea that all religions are the same, because it's the easiest way to avoid political friction. It does not come from God.

Just because you have a "holy book" doesn't mean it's from the same source as the Bible.

Muslims, the children of Ishmael, have no covenant with God, and it says so right in the Bible, which is a recognized Holy Book even in Islam:

Genesis 17:19-21:
"And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year."

Only the Children of Israel have a covenant with God by birth (although it doesn't mean they can't break it, on an individual basis, with sin).

As for the rest of us, through Christ Jews and non-Jews are all offered a new covenant, which is eternal life. All people are invited to join with the Israelites as HIS people through the blood of His son.

God offers His covenant for eternal life to all humans, but ONLY through His son, Jesus, as it says in the Bible:

John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Acts 4:12: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.'

As for being patriotic, actually I'm not an American.

And as for hearing from God, I wouldn't even say anything unless I felt I was being accurate. It takes plenty of practice/training; we are slowly getting better at it. Messages from the Lord are not always what you would expect, and often have ideas or details we wouldn't even think of.
