Subject: Hi Gang, I'm back from jury duty

Well I am back from fun and games at Federal Court Jury Duty. The case went from Jan 14 to the 25th. We had closing arguments on Monday afternoon (the 28th). It was an insurance fraud case. The insurance company wanted to stop paying a dentist on a disability policy claiming that the dentist was not diabled. The defense offered evidence that the dentist was disabled. In the end we found for the defense, awarding damages to the dentist. I am proud to say that we didn't go over board like some jurys have. Even the judge said that our verdice was fair.

So I have spent the past week getting back up to speed with EVERYTHING in my life.

The latest on our home front is daughter #2, Mary Ellen, bought a horse. She has been working and saving for about 3 years for this and we are quite proud of her! The horse is a 20 year old mare named Plum. Plum is friendly and gentle! (Just the kind of horse a city slicker like me needs!) She had been used by an outfitter/ dude ranch here in Colorado. She has seen lots of back country and has even been used as a pack horse on big game hunts. (Oh boy is dad happy about that!) he-he-he.

So what has happened to the Hunting Buddies list? I kind of feel like I got in on a movie half way through.

Good to talk with you all again - and bring me up to speed.

Thanks,

Bill
