Subject: NCIS LA 2nd of three stories in current arc

Well, at least we kind know what happened after that notorious coin toss, anyway.

Actually, this is entirely "consistent" with what was revealed in Season 10, I think--maybe one of the eps in Season 9--when Harm confesses to Mac, as they are departing Iraq after defending/prosecuting a "rouge" agent--forget which ep--he wouldn't mind going back to Iraq to "be in the fight". That would be entirely consistent with the earlier Harm that captured all of our hearts.

Secondly, I'm not so sure they were entirely that consistent with Mac's character, although I could see the switch in careers after Harm went back to the carrier life. I could be persuaded this was consistent with her character--don't forget Mark Falcon called her an "emotionally torn" women that time Mac followed Harm to Chechnea way back when.

Thirdly, I will give this to the professional writers--they know how to spin a good story! I can't wait for the season finale!! (Was sorely disappointed there were no "trailers" for the final episode.) Please remember there was supposed to be a 3-story line arc leading up to the finale. Course I might have misunderstood the way this all works.

Finally, I could see reappearances in this NCIS franchise for both characters, given their current "assignments" and the current situation. I don't necessarily see a "rebooted JAG" in the works, no matter how "popular" that notion is among the fan base. (I thought DJE looked tired in the series finale of JAG--and he definitely looks his age--albeit distinguished--and still "eye candy". (Damn--he makes any uniform look sexy!)

So much for my 2 cents' worth.

[> That was the season finale , so no trailer and we wait for the season premier which will also include the "dynamic duo." I can see that there are possibilities for them to appear in later episodes, but would rather see a JAG reboot. The nunbers for NCIS-LA soared for these episodes so I think the followers are still there. Only time will tell. PS:the eye candy is still there and so are the looks between H/M, nice to see. -- jenks, 11:53:32 05/20/19 Mon

It has been hard to learn they have been apart NINE years (curious, the same time than in the show ... Could be a writer's wink?) ... But I'm sure the things will get better, maybe even much better than we think... and R. Scott Gemmill compensates us from the DPB theft. That's were for the fans the last two JAG seasons: a real theft. Cheer up!Harm & Mac forever!

Couldn't help but think this latest episode had DPB written all over it. Now, we wait ~~ just like in the 'old' days ~~ for what happens next! At least both Harm and Mac looked good, and I have to agree that they made the eye spark believable. And, I wanted something else.....

[> well - I would have loved an ADULT harm and Mac relationship- where they'd learned to work things out - and still had a bit of occasional friction - I don't ever want to see them on the air again like this - just don't :) -- chris k, 20:50:42 05/20/19 Mon

I seem to recall trailers or a TV Guide article that indicated a four episode arc total, two this season, two next season. Not sure I care at this point, whether itt's one or two more episodes. As a shipper, I am greatly disappointed that the scriptwriters had them separate after a year's engagement and go their separate ways. I had hoped that their current separation, alluded to by DJE in a TV Guide interview, was simply the result of Harm's deployment for 5 month or so, and that they were happily married. SIGH .... it's nice to see the comments by old friends. I'm sure there'll be plenty of fanfiction, both now and next Fall, and as always, I feel certain the fanfics will be far more satisfying than what the scriptwriters gave us! (note that the NCIS:LA scriptwriter was a JAG scriptwriter early on).

Are any of you going to attempt a fanfic?

Off topic: highplainswoman, I've tried to email several times, but it apparently didn't reach you.
