Subject: Soma Project

As I sit listening to the Soma Project (still my favorite candid cd) I began to wonder what happened to these songs? Fan favorites Gaia, Coup de Grace, Next Year...has the band all but forgotten the songs that got them to where they are today? Not to put down the last 2 albums, but are they considered that outstanding that we lose the firt album altogether? And at the live shows, what happened to the atmosphere? Did that too fade away with the loss of Styleens/Armory High? The fun covers, dancing, constant joking around...this is what truly set Candid apart from all other "rock" bands. Nowadays it just seems more like a generic local concert. Does anyone else feel this? And now with the closing of Bleachers it seems that Candid is at a rough point for playing in Syracuse. Does anyone else see this happening? If not please feel free to tell me to go to hell. I just thing that feeling I got going to a Candid show is fading, and I don't think its the alcohol. Feel free to lend your thoughts.
