She cringed when he spoke of the blood and finally retracted from her rigid position to look over at him. She had, really, no right to act like this - but she felt like she had been some sort of adulteress even though they had never gone any farther than spending exorbitant amounts of time together.... enough time that she felt he ought to have told her something like this. She was torn between being upset for herself and upset for him when she saw the expression of pain on his face - wanting to comfort him and wanting to run far and fast away from this embarrassing mess. She had no idea what to say to him, where to go from here, but she didn't want him to keep explaining - he owed her nothing in the grand scheme of things. "That's.. awful.. I'm so sorry." She just wanted him to stop, mostly, she felt like he had dropped a bomb in the middle of the table and now she wasn't sure how she was supposed to feel.

- If the situation had not been so sombre, she would have been proud of herself for not interrupting him, but she sat wordlessly while he carried on, saying things she didn't want to hear. She cared about him - obviously, so she could not just imagine that this had never happened or was not happening like she most typically would to ensure maximum fun and carelessness in her life. She wasn't sure how to take in everything he said but focused instead on the baby being his... "So... what are you going to do?" Her pale eyes flickered up to his but found it difficult to hold his gaze more than a second or two before she averted her own after the things he had said about her making life better, and here she was feeling so selfish and guilty. - He cocked his head to her a touch, brow furrowed a little in uncertaintly "What do you mean?" There was nothing to do really- he was a father and he had a child that needed raising- so he would raise it.
