He scoffed with a snort and rolled his eyes, releasing her and letting her pull ahead a bit as he settled into just following along easily a few paces back - the view was better from there. He was so thankful that they seemed to have achieved some form of normalcy, for then atleast - they had earned it, in his humble opinion. They had been through more than enough, and any break that they got, he appreciated - he could only hope that it would last longer than a couple days, or even a couple weeks, but it was impossible to say...

  • She finally made it to the top of the hill and decided to settle down on a bench after fishing through her hoodie pocket for the quarter she had brought and using it to get some corn kernels out of a machine. A bright smile crossed her face as the ducks immediatly - loudly - clamoured out of the water to come closer to her, hearing the shaking of the corn in the small plastic cup. "We need a new pet, Colin, a duck would be cool, we could take it for walks and everything." She grinned again, tossing the corn near Colin's feet so the animals would flock to him.
