She laughed softly, pausing a second when their friends were a few steps behind them. "You aren't pasty at all, I was just kidding." She looked up at him, her eyes adoring and affectionate. "You look good even with an inch of dirt on you, I am not sure how that's possible." She leaned up, her hand cupping his jaw for a moment as she spoke softly. "I really do appreciate you coming with me today, Luke, for real. It means a lot to me." She smiled sweetly, brushing a kiss to a clean spot on his jaw as she squeezed his hand, her eyes showing that her words were honest and heartfelt. After a moment she took a step back, letting him get some plates for them and then taking one from him, getting her own food on her plate before she nodded to a spot by a tree and headed over there to sit down, stretching her legs out in front of her. It did mean a lot to her that he was willing to go out and get dirty to help other people, to make life a bit better for some kids in the nearby neighborhood. She adored him just as he was but it was nice to know that he could go out and work a hard day and still smile about it, even if he did whine and joke around. It said a lot for his character.
