She smirked a touch and then picked at her own food in the moment of uncomfortable silence. She was also used to always having something to say - not that she was the biggest flirt or anything, but she was typically just friendly - but for some reason she found him a little bit intimidating. He just seemed a little bit unenthusiastic about being there and she didn't know if was the early morning or the work or her company or if he was just like that. It wasn't like he was being a jerk or anything - he just seemed distracted. At his question, she was more than eager to respond just to be saying something. "Um, my dad's been here for years. I was living with my mom... And now I live with my dad. He's a lawyer - corporate." So he made decent money, but he had her and three boys and an ex-wife to give money to and so it wasn't like they were living in a mansion like some of the kids around here - just living comfortably in the suburbs. She popped a piece of the bun from her burger in her mouth and munched that before looking over at him again, shifting so that she was sitting cross-legged on the grass with her plate in her lap. "You grow up here?"
