'The "Adult Trad Set" and "Adult Championship" competitions are open to dancers aged 18 and over, who have not competed in non-adult competitions for solo or team events (also known as "youth/&over" competitions) during the previous five (5) years.'

I feel bad if it was an honest mistake, but either the competitor or their teacher should have caught it and known.
