Subject: Logic and The Limits of Human Intelligence

Given that the Word of God is objective and in no way subject to human interpretation, I would like to consider the role of logic and the so called "modes of perception" elaborated by Kant.

If the human responsability in response to Revelation is adoption of generalizzations and the demolition of propositional contradictions, how does logic relate to this? It seems that any attempt to impose propositional structural limitations upon the Text is unjustifiable, properly because these arguments are to be removed from our minds by the Text itself.

Therefore, what is the role of logic in our intelligence and in our "approach" to Scripture? Is logic similar to quantification or formal correspondece (Kant suggests this), things which we attempt to attribute to the text thereby profaning it? Is logic a completely unavoidable characteristic of human thought, as is semiotic linking?

One thing to remember: logic does not reveal truth, because 1) Revealed Truth must displace logical validity 2) the validity of any conclusion depends upon the Truthfulness of the premises.

What is the the importance and role of logic with regards to faithful intelligence and use of Scripture?
