Subject: guaranteed low quality of ubf leaders
In reply to: Joe 's message, "Re: are ubf leaders really "leaders"" on 15:26:07 09/30/04 Thu

One thing that should raise serious questions is that ubf portrays itself as a 'layman's' ministry. They claim the leaders are laymen and are able to relate to sheep, remain humble, are immune to corruption, etc. There are several serious flaws with theubf 'layman' design.

1. nobody learned the Bible through comprehensive Bible study or church history, theology, logic, ethics. They just learned ubf manuscripts and techniques. Anyone who realized they need alot more then ubf study was branded a Pharisee and banished. Here the ubf could not be more wrong. This was decided at ubf long ago, and ensured that all future ubf leaders would be of the lowest quality imaginable.

2. no ubf leader has any idea of what a successful minsitry model should be, they just claim that the old model from Korea is the way of God. The results speak for themselves, ubf never caught on except in Korea, and look how these 'missionaries' turned out! They aimed very low and hit the target!

3. the ubf created a bunch of look alikers. Nobody has any meaningful gifts or even a personality.

4. the ubf was turned into the EE family business because there was no separation of duties, no authority outside of EE, no accountability, no integrity in the structure of the group. Whoever EE said was a leader was a leader, and nobody has any real qualities or experience. Most of the ubf leaders could not even get into a school like Moody, much less be a leader there.

The ubf claim to be a layman minsitry is actually a cover up for the leaders being uneducated, untrained, unqualified, and unethical. I am saying a layman should not be the standard for a Christian leader, a layman is a layman. And a ministry leader should not be a lifetime failure or degenerate like at the ubf.
