Concerning the Wikipedia article, you have to know that Wikipedia articles can be edited by anybody. It is based on the fact that many people join together to add knowledge. It naturally fails in areas where people try to defend religious views. It seems that some Scientology members edited that article. It contains mainly the view of Jeffrey K. Hadden, and has links to Cesnur again. If Scientology spends so much money trying to influence the public opinion and building a political lobby, you can take for granted that they will also try to introduce their views into the Wikipedia.

I agree that for most people it is hard to believe that brainwashing exists because they never have been in a mind control group and live in the illusion this could never happen to them. But looking at the facts, at events like Jonestown or Waco or 9/11 or Heaven's Gate or Aum or Knutby, even those who haven't experienced it themselves cannot deny the phenomenon exists.

By the way it is not true that we never have written about the existence of cult apologists and their claims that brainwashing does not exist.
