Why doesn't he just ask Ron since he/jc30something had Ron's email address plastered on their attack-the-UBF-critics web site. I'm sure Ron's an admirer of Wesley.
It doesn't mean that what Wesley did in that case was right (or wrong; I'd have to know more about the case). However, Wesley did not establish a long track record as an abusive, manipulative cult leader who took the place of Christ, the scriptures and parents in people's lives, else there would not be the long-orthodox Methodist church standing today.
If you read about the typical abuses described by those interviewed by Ron Enroth, you see that many of these abuses are just beyond the pale. You read the tales of cult leaders (and their supporting toadies) taking over peoples' lives, controlling virtually every aspect of peoples' lives, demanding and getting absolute obedience to themselves. You want to compare Wesley to these cult leaders, go ahead. I know Ron Enroth doesn't.

In fact, Ron is a follower of Jesus Christ, so he wouldn't have ANYTHING bad to say about Jesus or the disciples. It's the sicko cult defenders who see the need to drag Jesus' name down with them.
