The ex JPUSA members website is

In the second paragraph of the ex members open letter, it reads: "As you yourselves have often said to us, there is no perfect church, no perfect business, no perfect family,
and no perfect community."
This is similar to UBF leaders always saying that no one is perfect, no church is perfect, and everyone makes mistakes. JPUSA leaders used the same line to justify their abuse. Basically, UBF and JPUSA leaders are saying, we makes mistakes, so stop complaining and continue to bare with our mistakes. Cults want their members to endure abuse as if it is inevitable. Whenever and organization defends their actions by saying everybody makes mistakes and no one is perfect, that is a clear signal that they have no interest in repentance or change, but are planning to abuse everyone who participates in their organization.
