Dear 2nd gen,

I give you credit for having the guts to post on this forum, or even to read anything on this forum. Most UBFers dismiss the things we say out of hand.

I have just a few observations for you.

First, it is great that you met Christ in UBF. I also met Christ in UBF. I would say the more appropriate phrasing is "met Christ despite UBF." You seem to indicate that through UBF a number of people are "coming to Christ." That is fine. The problem is what happens afterward. Basically what happens is they get caught up in the UBF program. The UBF program is very superficial, works-oriented, and theologically incongruent. UBF teachers do not know the basics of theology, ministry or missions. The result is at best, those who come to Christ in UBF remain very immature.

Second, I hate to break it to you, but you are in denial about not being brainwashed by UBF. Your writing here has the telltale mark of UBF mind control on it. You are in serious danger as long as you stay in UBF.

Third, you claim that UBF has changed. You do not say how. That is because UBF hasn't changed, you just want to think it has. You live in blissful ignorance of what UBF really is and the problems that UBF continues to have and will have until the leaders fully repent.

Fourth, your speech belies the fact that you have a lot of hyped-up emotions about UBF. Beware of these hyped-up emotions. UBF does not deliver the goods spiritually. What they do deliver on is they hype-up your emotions to make you believe that you got the goods, even though you didn't.

UBF has never been a reputable Christian group. No one thinks UBF is a reputable Christian group but people in UBF. Listen to our advice. Leave UBF and find a healthy church.

Regards,
Anonymous ex-UBFer
