The praise does not run both ways. It runs mostly one way, toward the leader. Some examples: 1, 2. The praise does indeed make the cult leader very happy. The national cult leader in North Korea, I'm sure, is very happy to receive as much praise as he does.

In fact, it is because you have heard all the praise for people like Sam Lee, Peter Chang and Sarah Barry that you have felt the need to try to defend them in the past and now, though you have nearly zero personal, first-hand experience of their leadership.

"Mother Barry" is pretty much her official title in UBF. That's the title used for her at conferences and in publications. There's no escaping that fact.
