I can recount to you two episodes that happened in my chapter. One "shepherd" left UBF and later returned. During the time he was away from UBF, the chapter director said all sorts of bad things about the man, to make him seem like the most evil, vile person. He divulged embarrassing personal details about the man so as to make the faithful UBF members know that this guy was a "bad example." The chapter director had kind of become a surrogate father to this man, whose real father left him as a child. Well, the man came back to UBF because he still felt like the chapter director was his father and had his best interest at heart. When he came back, he was subjected to harsh "training" by the chapter director. He had to prepare a special "message" and a very embarrassing "sogam" for a "conference." And the chapter director accused him of having committed homosexual acts. Basically, the chapter director treated this man worse than dirt.

The other story is kind of similar. One "shepherd" was particularly "rebellious." After a heated argument between the two escalated into cursing and almost to violence, the shepherd was told not to come back. Meanwhile, the chapter director told the faithful chapter members all sorts of things to defame his character. He even told chapter members that the dismissed member was in a homosexual relationship with the man mentioned in the previous paragraph. A few times this person tried to come back to UBF, I don't know why. The chapter director talked to him to try to bring him back in. In this case, the dismissed member decided to stay out of UBF. The chapter director told me, however, that had he decided to come back, he would have to submit to severe "training."

I would suggest you to stay away from UBF and sever all contact with all UBF members. That is what I did when I left. I had figured out what a dangerous and manipulative person my chapter director was. My advice is don't try to talk to UBF members. They won't listen to what you say, they will just try to lure you into their trap. Now that you have gotten out, make sure you stay out!

Regards,
