In regard to the ubf, you have the freedom to design and implement your moves. At this moment, the most important factor is that you have been tipped off to these ubf people and their ways. You have been informed that there are serious problems (actually, dangers) at ubf. You are now sufficiently informed so as to be able to fend for yourself when encountereing these people.

When you did not know the dangers of ubf, they had a supreme advantage over you. They were pushing you to be honest, salf-sacrificing, take all kinds of risks with your life and future, make decisions that will never be in your best interests. But you had no idea that they were doing this. Now you know alot more about them, you can proceed with caution or just plain blow them off.

The problems were not with you, they were with the corrupt ubf leaders, who are the heart and soul of a corrupt ubf system. They are inseparable. The ubf leaders are terminally ill with ubf disease. They are all very corrupt, every last one of them. They are blind guides, they are white washed tombs.

If you go there to provide them with something good, it is like trying to give medicine to a corpse. It just doesn't work.

Robert, it may be hard to get past the trust issue. But I would encourage you to keep trying. I went to a healthy church on Christmas Eve with a new friend who I hardly know. At the church that night they gave each person a copy of two very nice booklets, one by Warren Wiersbe and one by the guy who wrote "A Purpose Driven Life", can't remember his name. I would encourage you to make small efforts like this, I think this is the way to really make friends. The ubf instant friendships are fake. They do not exist outside the institution of ubf

If you can't find close Christian friends at this time, why not use the time to reconnect with your family and old friends, in a new way? Take your parents out for dinner and tell them that you love them.

Or take some classes at a Bible college? There you will meet alot of healthy young people. Or take time to get some new education or job skills. In the right time, you will have lots of nice, healthy friends. You will wonder how you ever stooped to the level of associating with ubf. And have confidence. Even if you make a wrong decision, you won't be trapped in a cult. You are free, get after it.
