Since posting here a couple of days ago I have received several E-Mails and posts from both former and current members of UBF. So I thought I would just make some blanket comments on the posts here. Many of you suggested that I just simply stay away from UBF, this is probably the best course of action, but I still need to talk to Sam Zun so speaking to him 1 to 1 might be a good idea, if he will talk to me frankly about what happened.
As far as finding a new church/ Christain friends that has been very difficult, I returned to my old church after leaving UBF but I can't really connect with the people there. To be honest I have problems trusting anyone in authority, and weird as it sounds, the more people are nice, happy, smiling the more I distrust them , after all UBf was like that AND we all know how that went for all of us. but really despite the pain and confusion this has left me in the worse part is that I can't talk to anyone about it. After all how do you explain to someone, especially in a mainstream church, that you were in an abusive church/cult that you thought was God's will for you to be there than get kicked out etc, without sounding a little bit crazy?! Any suggestions on how to get reacquainted with a church and its people after having endured what has happened in a place like UBF?
