Here is another observation of something which was different, but also similar. Amazingly, about a year ago, the German translation of the Henry Kriete letter and other reform documents were even published on the official homepage of the German ICC. In UBF, no reform document ever made its way to a official UBF website, they were all published on "Reform-UBF" websites operated by the "R-group" (that was the label for the "reform" or "rebel" movement inside UBF). These websites existed in Korea, Germany and the USA, but they were all closed meanwhile. However, I see a similar thing happen in the ICC. The critical and reform-oriented material has been removed completely from the German ICC homepage again. Under the link "Ressourcen," you will now only find the note "Wir haben uns entschieden an dieser Stellen keine Artikel, Briefe oder Übersetzungen aus externen Quellen mehr anzubieten." - "We have decided not to puplish external articles, letters or translations any more at this place." All the ressources have been removed and there are only links to other, official web sites, but not to critical sites such as icoc.de. Is this the kind of "similar developments" you are talking about, John?

Without the effort and sites maintained by former members, there would be no critical information about UBF available on the Internet any more, and the situation with ICC is probably the same.
