I really tried to be as humble as possible in writing, and I appreciate your kind response Mike K. Before I begin, I want to say that of course I know that any Christian church MUST be a Christ centered church. What I meant by saying that we need to be "more charity centered," and so on, is pointing to the fact that we need to be more Christ centered. Anyway, I am trying to do right now exactly what you said you might do, namely to change the church from the inside out. When I posted this late last night, I meant what I said, that I want to change the church, starting with myself, I am not a pastor in UBF, or even a fellowship leader, but I am a member of the Body of Christ. And it seem as though people like "Chris" refuse to believe me even on this. It really saddens me that when I try to extend an olive branch in the name of Jesus, I am met with self-righteous indignation. SO my question is this, if you do not accept my sincere apology on behalf of my brothers, why dont you write down an exhaustive list of the people whom you would like to see repent for specific sins and grievances against you? Then mabey, I can talk to them individually and see what happens. And another question, by quoting, "You have forsaken the Lord, so I have forsaken you." Are you saying that Jesus has not forgiven Sarah Barry, or Ron Ward, or Ben Toh? Or that they are not believers in Christ? And if you are, then are you not pronouncing judgement on them yourself? Of course, each may have committed terrible sins, but what is your measure of repentance, would you like them to call you? WOuld you like them to stop one to one Bible study? Would you like them to stop being authoritarian? And if so, how would you know if they had? Thanks for your time.
