Subject: How Can Paul Hong Say This With a Straight Face?

In this weeks message, the Toledo director, Paul Hong, says,

"What makes a salty Christian lose his saltiness? Sin. Disobeying Jesus’ commands reduces our influence. Major sins can even ruin our influence completely. When church leaders get caught in scandals of misusing church funds or affairs, their reputations are ruined and so is their ability to minister to others. Jesus’ point is that we must prevent this from happening. Another way to lose our saltiness is to start compromising the word of God to make it more appealing to people to make a bigger church faster. If we stop teaching the truths of repentance, obedience to God, judgment and hell, and only talk about forgiveness, the love of God, blessings and heaven, then we are losing our saltiness as Christians. "

It beats me how he can say this without shame. How can he "prevent this from happening?" Why does he not accept the "truths of repentence" himself?
