So UBF doctrine is a list of buzzwords.

To me, it is a foolish waste of time to engage in endless dogmatic debates over doctrine. It is much more worthwhile to study the Bible, believe the Bible and obey the Bible.

Can anybody comment on that sentence? I would like to comment something, but I can not really express my thoughts. Somehow Brian is a master of formulating things in a way that sound perfectly true, but the message he is communicating is totally wrong. I have the impression his skills in this area get more and more perfect. This sentence is already a masterpiece.

Of course, that sentence needs to be analyzed and translated. It does not mean what it would mean outside the context of UFB. Real Bible study and systematic theological is automatically equated with "endless dogmatic debates" and thus necesseraly complicated, unspiritual and bad. UBF style Bible study, i.e. simply following a pre-given UBF questionaire, believing the UBF interpretation of the Bible without questioning, completely trusting the UBF leaders, and obeying the UBF leaders is considered as "study the Bible, believe the Bible and obey the Bible."

I think Brian has been indoctrinated with such masterful composed sentences by the master of deceptive communication, Paul Hong, and is now doing the same. "A student is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher." (Lk 6:40)
