I have some questions on a few things; first, when I began to attend ubf I noticed Exodus 19:6 (you will be for me a kingdom of priest and a holy nation) was always mentioned in thier prayers. I admit I didn't know the meaning of this verse. Does ubf have a false teaching behind this verse? All I ever heard in ubf was "a kingdom of priests and a holy nation." It is difficult to read this verse and not think of ubf.

Second did I read somewhere on this website about ubf believing that Peter was the first pope? According to the Bible there is no way he could be the first pope, so I wonder if ubf teaches that Peter was the first pope? Does anyone know?

I am asking because in my first year at ubf my "Bible teacher" tried to implant this ideal into me. At the end of our Bible study he basically claimed that Peter was the first pope, and that he would teach me more about it later. I believe this is somehow connected to obedience. Has anyone else come across this teaching?
