Hi, Obitchecker:

I read your last post and I would like to make some comments.

First, I have NEVER wanted any person to be harmed. Even though I hate what Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, etc... did to us by lying us into a non-winnable war in Iraq I have NEVER said that any of them should be injured or assassinated. If they were, then they would become martyrs for the Republican party from now until eternity--and Rush Limbaugh would be crying on the radio day and night (sorry, but I can't stand his voice--he sounds like he's talking with a bunch of marbles in his mouth). No, I want them to be well, alive and kicking, so when they eventually face justice for their War Crimes they can sit in prison and think about what they've done to destroy so many lives.

Yes, I do know the difference between an opinion and truth, and sometimes they can be confused. But in the case of the Bush administration and their corruption, fraud, War Crimes, Class Warfare (Rich vs. Poor), etc... I believe I am telling the truth. No one can deny that Bush opened a HUGE can of worms when he CHOSE to invade Iraq. His friends at KBR, Halliburton made Billions from the NO-bid contracts they were allowed to have to 'fix' Iraq. He took away Habeus Corpus, which, thankfully was brought back. He spied on us without warrants and sometimes without cause. Questions are being raised about the people he had arrested and put in Guantanamo Bay--if some of them were completely innocent. He chose to ignore or gloss over the meltdown of Wall Street and the banking system. His tax cuts for the rich and super-rich caused a Class inequality that almost doubled the wealth of the top 1% and left the rest of us with less net worth from our paychecks. The top 800,000 rich now have as much wealth as the Bottom 150 MILLION working class and poor.

Also, Bush added over 6 TRILLION to the National Debt, which is now at 11 TRILLION, and President Obama is going to have to work hard to try and fix this Mega-Mess. The Republican minority is trying to erase the past 8 years--they are now blaming Obama for the situation of our Economy--while forgetting the Deregulation policies they favored led to the huge GREEDY spending spree that went unchecked, plus when they were the majority in Congress during Bush's terms (2001 to January 2007) they passed EVERY Single spending bill Bush asked for, which combined, has led us to where we are today.

I may sound biased, but I live in Texas and during Bush's time as our 'guvner' he cut a lot of State services for the poor and us working class by changing the eligibility rules and gross income limits, trying to get thousands to stop applying for help from the State, so that he could give monetary 'incentives' and low business tax rates to his rich business buddies. He changed rules and made it hard to apply for benefits, by making people have to go back to State offices every few months to reapply for help and fill out endless forms, so that some people just gave up trying to get help from the State; thus the amount of people receiving State benefits went down and he cut the amount of State service money available and used it make up for the decrease in State business taxes he approved.

I rest my case... :)

Mercedes

Okay, Mercedes, if what you're saying is just plain the TRUTH, then anybody knowledgeable who disagrees is just TELLING LIES. Right? Now, tell me, why should anyone listen to them, and why should they be given an outlet (free speech) to tell their lies? Explain without mere platitude.obitcheckerThu, March 26, 2009 5:50:37
