(She had been sobbing in a controlled and almost defeated manner since Quin had guided her back to the chair like she was a child who couldn't handle the truth. The fact was that his behavior had scared her all the more and she felt like she might lose Nick before she ever really had him.) I love him.. (She sobbed out, turning her face into Kate's motherly shoulder and letting out her fear.) (He was starting to feel extremely overwhelmed by the guilt and shame of his behavior, and as the cool air struck his face he suddenly felt an intense wave of anger overtake him. He didn't see the doctor that had just gotten out of his car in the lot, he'd gotten a page to come in to work on Nick's case.. but at the moment all he could see was the shaggy haired man that was facing the brick column under the ER overhang, slamming his fists into it and all but roaring his anger. Two other male nurses had run outside at the man's throaty yells and he dropped his hat to run over with them. It took the combined weight of the three men to subdue Quin, and he just kept fighting them until one of the nurses was able to shout inside to get a sedative for him. The doctor had to shift his knee from Quin's chest to allow the other doctor to get access to his neck to administer the drug, then the four of them sat back on their heels as Quin settled down. He was a large man, and he had only been given enough of the drug to calm the boiling rage inside him, so he was awake, just sort of woozey. They were able to get his name and that he had a form of autism that he was medicated for.. though the head doctor furrowed his brow about that.. most people with Asperger's Syndrome had a pronounced motor disfunction that made their speech impaired.. but this man functioned fine except for his breakdown. They got Quin to his feet and two of the nurses walked him back inside and into a patient room so they could look him over and run some tests.. it would be more than an hour before Kate saw him again.)

She wasn't quite sure what to tell the girl, she was good at talking people out of shooting someone but comforting really wasn't her strong suit when she just wanted to be comforted herself. She was also a little confused when she didn't see Quin come back in and it had been a half hour. "I'll be right back, sweetie..." She murmured to Karlie who had almost cried herself to sleep. She stood up, heading out the doors to look around, figuring he was indulging in a smoke or something, hoping to God he hadn't left but when he wasn't anywhere to be found her heart sank, her eyes closing as she let out a slow breath.
