She was tired of being the strong one, she didn't want to be the parent anymore, she just wanted to curl up in her husbands lap and cry until her baby was ok. Instead, she just nodded and let him lead her out there, though her eyes seemed bleak and empty. She was just about to sit down when Shay came in, tears on her own cheeks as she ran to her mom and hugged her tightly. Kate just rested her cheek on the top of her now fakely dark haired childs head and ran her hand over her hair soothingly, trying to comfort her littlest girl while she felt like death herself.
