(She had sat in the chair at his side the entire time, not thinking about anything except for the feel of his hand warm and alive within hers. She didn't realize just how strongly she was clinging to hope and prayer until he started to move beside her and her eyes shot to his face. She wasn't really able to do anything but watch him as he rediscovered his own movements, silently thanking every diety in the book that he was alive and at least as good as he had been that morning. When he looked at her, she smiled warmly and ran her hand over the back of his, though it stopped when he spoke.. and when she realized what he had said tears sprung into her gaze. After a second a smile crossed over her features and she shook her head, shifting to her feet to run her hand down the side of his face.) Yeah.. but it will grow back. (She said softly and brushed her lips against his forehead, leaning back a little to look at him, the tears slipping down her cheeks.. she had been so scared.. too afraid to be without him now.)

He searched her gaze before he realized that she really did understand him and a low breath escaped his mouth, his lips curving into a slow, self satisfied smile as if he had done this all by himself without the doctors help. He laid his head slowly back onto the pillow and closed his eyes for a long moment, just letting himself calm down and really absorb the fact that he was going to be alright, that life would move along as it should as long as he gave it a chance too before he slowly let his eyes open again, the smug, almost cocky expression firmly in place on his face and in his eyes that were suddenly so much brighter then they had been.
