His smile slowly disappeared as her news poured forth and slowly his face settled into a thoughtful almost-grimace. The news was not at all the happy welcome home news he had expected. His brows creased and he was slow in responding. His blue eyes were unfocused, but as he neared the end of his sentence, they focused in on her. "That is good news. I'm afraid of ruling here with no one to tell me if I might make a mistake - nothing against you of course, but neither of us has ever ruled before. It might be in our blood, but that does not make up our minds." He paused. "As to your uncle, do not fear him, do not worry over him. Just because his opinion of you is less that wanted, does not mean he is right. What he thinks, does not compare to what the world thinks. One opinion." He lowered his head a little, meeting her eyes. "Do not fear it, nor him. You are most definently worthy." His tongued reached the side of her cheek in a gentle reassurance.
