I didnt have a doctor that came to our house but like others, I had to get a temperature taken and a shot for my physicals or sick visits. I remember one time, we had to go to the doctor for a gamma gobulin shot, which I really didnt know what it was, after school. Mom told us that we would need to do this and it made us scared. My sister and I are twin girls at the time we were 14. While waiting in the exam hallway, we saw several other kids or teens coming and going out of the exam room. Most looked upset and scared. Some clearly had tears in their eyes. Mom suggested that we take off our sweaters so that the process would go faster, which we did and then when it was out turn, we went into the room and were told that it wasnt in the "arm." Next thing, i was on the table with my pants and panties off, the nurse taking my temperature, and then getting the shot, which hurt and made me cry such that when it was my sister's turn, she had to be held down by my mom.
