Not on a home visit but I did once manage to avoid an injection-sore bottom when going to the doctor.
Having grown up in the era of penicillin shots, my visits to the doctor normally ended with the painful humiliation of pulling everything down and bending over the receptionist's lap to get one. I was always afraid not so much or the shot itself as what I deemed the childishness of getting it in the bare bottom - exacerbated by the girl presumably watching as she held me across her lap to get it. The older I got, the more embarrassed I felt about getting shots like that. I always wanted to protest but refrained lest the receptionist equate it with a child's fear of the needle, whereas those girls often praised me for being brave when I stretched my naked rear across their laps without fuss.
Everything came to a head when, aged about 14, I went to the doctor and found his beautiful teen-aged daughter (only a year or so older than I) acting as receptionist during the school holidays. I really fancied/had a crush on her and craved her respect, which would be utterly forfeit if I had to endure the embarrassment of bending over her lap for a shot in the bare bottom. Deeming buttock injections childish, I didn't want her even to know that I still got them back there, much less suffer the almost inconceivable humiliation of her actually seeing me get one like that. I was too frightened of that prospect even to flirt with her as I waited. By the time the doctor appeared, I was so pent-up with fearful emotion that his mere rhetorical question, "How about a shot?", made me burst into tears even though he hadn't specified the injection site but he promptly made things even worse by asking me in his daughter's presence, "What's wrong? It's just the usual injection in your bottom."! Finding me inconsolable, he eventually relented and prescribed pills but I later realised that my tantrum must have made me appear even more childish to the girl than I would have bending bare-bottomed across her lap for the dread shot back there. Furthermore, my initial satisfaction at being able to sit down after going to the doctor was short-lived because the pills made me sick, so I had to go back and get the shot after all!
