Debby, loved your reply. Interesting about her using the Higginson syringe on you.

Did she ever use the enema bulb syringe?

Years ago I knew a mom who had a higginson syringe. She swore by it.
Agree with you, it seems to be much gentler than other enema devices.

When staying with her for a few weeks she gave her oldest one an enema with it. He was about 7 or so. He wasn’t feeling well. Hadn’t gone and had slight fever.

She put a rubber sheet on the bed. Towel on the rubber sheet.
I enjoyed talking with her as I helped her prepare. She prepared a pan of mild warm soapy water.

She sat bedside as she gave him the enema. I found it interesting to see the water level going down with each squeeze.

She told him to relax and breathe deep breath when he was getting it.

She had me squeeze the in line bulb a few times. Slowly squeezing the bulb I knew he was getting an enema.

He didn’t complain when getting it. She took him to expell.

While cleaning the bed and the syringe we talked.

I wanted to get one. But never did.

The next morning he stayed home from school. She gave him another enema on the bed with it.

Do you still use it?

How did you help other moms out? Did you teach them how to give enemas?

I taught a few moms. Of course the one she selected to be the patient wasn’t overly happy knowing he was going to get an enema.

Blessings

Dear Debby,Thanks so much for sharing those precious childhood memories with us,especially your beautiful word pictures.
Explicit, but never gross.
Yes...I can identify with so much of what you wrote especialy your beautiful description of the moment of insertion.
"The anticipation of the nozzle, etc"
How well i recall those intimate bonding moments over my late mother's knee in the bathroom!
So many wierd & wonderful feelings back then (when our bottoms were far more tender and sensitive)
I think I know what you're trying to say though I just dont have the words to say it. I got quite emotional just reading your story.
Love Chloe
