The actual time you will be in his stirrups and getting poked and prodded will be a tiny amount of the time you are in that building. Miniscule! With check in and filling out their first time patient forms, the nurse taking your measurements, weight, getting a urine sample, and the myriad questions that she will ask you, and then the physical exam of the rest of your body while mostly semi modestly covered you will have had time to emotionally acclimate to that environment and you will be ready for him to get you to move to the end of his table and just let your legs naturally fall to the side. Let's do some practice. Let's get you a good nights sleep. Prep your body for what they need from you. Let's go over maybe not 10 but at least five things that Andrea and I want you to go in there written down on a piece of paper that you show them you have brought with you. Let's talk about at least two things you are most upset about having to go there. Prepping and getting a good nights sleep. You need to present with a full bladder for a urine sample. Shower but don't have on any perfume or lotions, especially in your perineal area. Doctors often also use smell to diagnose conditions. Shave yourself smooth. You like that and you will feel good about not having any stubble. Be proud that you like to be smooth down there. He has seen it a thousand times by now. The night before take that leap and ask your mom for the first time ever that you would like one of her calming Chamomile enemas or what ever herbs she uses for anxiety enemas. Just at bedtime and ask her for a back rub during your enema or when you get in bed for the night. So if you do get a recto-vaginal exam No Worries, he won't feel stool. So---- you start. She leaked a couple of times too in the beginning. So with Joyce's prompting I searched for an enema nozzle that will deliver the enema fluid closer to the end of her rectum and into the sigmoid section to keep so much pressure away from her anus. I settled on the Clean Stream 10" Silicon Colon Nozzle. Not to be used carelessly. You have to insert about 4 to 6 inches and then start to rotate and move the part you are holding form one side of the buttocks to the other while turning it back and forth in your fingers as you feel it hit a slight resistance and then get past it. Then I insert it all the way to the very end I am holding in my fingers. The nozzle is now at least three to four inches past the connection of her rectum and her sigmoid and delivering the enema directly to her colon. She really struggled the first few times we used it because it takes a couple of minutes to slowly get it where it needs be and she would have mini breathing panicky attacks and would fight me inserting by clinching and unable to stay still over my leg. I had to really talk her down to relax and just let the insertion happen. Now she is able to totally relax and not fight it. In fact she actually will move her butt up and towards my hand slightly as I am inserting as if to invite it inside her. She is feeling calm and breathing okay and helps me to get it in her. Then the 2 and 1/2 quarts are so easy for her to take in. She gets one quart of plain warm water and then with the nozzle still in she lays down on her back on a towel and holds the enema in for 10 minutes. After about 7 minutes I remove the nozzle and tell her to stay there while I go to the kitchen and mix a quart and a half of soapsuds very warm water and go back to her. Back over my leg, reinsert and she takes the soapsuds part real easily and I let her get on the toilet right away. She hasn't had any panic attacks for three enema sessions now so she is doing fantastic. You are going to do fantastic too on the 8th. I have to go now. She will be here in less than a half hour so I need to get a candle lit and some towels and pillow down on the floor in the bathroom for her. If Andrea is on she will take over. And she told me the same exact thing my oldest said he heard her say to him as he was pooping on the toilet. I thought I was going to die laughing. Both boys came in to see what we were laughing about. We didn't dare tell them so we made up a lie. She said our oldest did great with his enema but he had to have a suppository because even with his bath it was about an hour before he usually poops for me in the evening. I said "that's fine.
