My friend, you and your family are indeed a blessing to me as well! I have attached a recent Christmas message to all my friends and family who visit here. May this holiday season bring much of what you want and all of what you need!!!

To my brothers and sisters,

What a family we have! All unique and all endowed with special gifts and talents. We who call upon the Lord Jesus Christ as Master and as the first of many brothers, have much to be thankful for, not just in this season, but with every breath we take!

We can come boldly before the throne of Grace because of what He has done for us. He has done it all! Because of Him we are partakers of God's divine nature! God forbid that we ever tire of this amazing good news. We are redeemed from the curse of the law! We are the righteousness of God in Him; holy and set apart! Not because of anything we have done, but only because of what His Word says. We entered in by faith and we continue to receive from Him by this same faith that He, Himself, has birthed in us! Halleluia! He has done it all and by His great mercy and His continued grace we are the benefactors; all we have to do is continue to believe it and be receivers of His great love!

It is the season of reconciliation, of renewing our vows to Him and to each other. If I have failed you, personally, in any way over the course of this past year, I extend to you now, my heartfelt apology. I know that sometimes in my uniqueness I am not always the most Christlike. But thank God, I am being changed day by day, transformed by the renewing of my mind as I feed on the Word of God and pray for revelation of the truth about myself and about the world around me. And the Lord has revealed things about me over the course of this past year that I need to change about myself. At the same time, He is merciful and gracious and never forces His hand. Again, I thank Him that I am a work in progress, not perfected yet, but being perfected by His Word. I am hopeful that through His continued mercy and grace, I will continue to be teachable and moldable in the coming year and will grow more and more into that person that He intends for me to be; a doer of the Word.

Again, if I have offended you in any way, please accept this Christmas message as my apology. There are some that I need to apologize to in person for my many shortcomings, and some that I may be oblivious to still, but either way, I hope that you and all those you love will have a merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!

like the 20th century prophet, John Prine once said, "'you forgive me, I'll forgive you, we'll both forgive each other till we both turn blue, then we'll whistle and go fishing into heaven!"

I pray that our paths would cross in the coming year and that we all will soon be reconciled to each other as we are to the Father through His Son, Amen.

not my words, but appropriate for the season:

Thanksgiving

But one of them, seeing that he was healed, returned and, with a loud voice, gave glory to God. He fell facedown at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan.-Luke 17:15-16

Thankfulness is foundational to the Christian life. Thankfulness is a conscious response that comes from looking beyond our blessings to their source. As Christians, we have been forgiven, saved from death, and adopted as God's children. There could be no better reason for a grateful heart!

Lepers in Jesus' day were social outcasts. Their highly contagious condition ostracized them from those they loved. When ten lepers encountered Jesus, they desperately implored Him to show them mercy. Jesus sent them to the priest. As they obeyed, they were healed! These ten men had been forbidden to enter their own villages, to live in their own homes, to work in their own jobs, or even to touch their own children. Imagine what unrestrained joy must have filled them as they ran back home again!

One of the lepers, a Samaritan, stopped and ran back to thank Jesus. Samaritans were normally shunned by the Jews, but Jesus had healed him! Jesus asked him, "Where are the others?" Ten lepers had been healed. Ten lepers were reveling in their newfound health. Ten men were joyfully rushing to share the good news with those they loved. But only one considered the Source of that blessing and stopped to thank and worship the One who had given him back his life.

We, too, have been healed and made whole by the Savior. We are free to enjoy the abundant life the Savior has graciously given us. Could we, like the nine lepers, rush off so quickly to glory in our blessings without stopping to thank our Redeemer? God looks for our thanks. Our worship, prayers, service, and daily life ought to be saturated with thanksgiving to God (Phil. 4:6).
